Twine is a free software for creating interactive, “choose your own adventure” style stories. The software allows the user to publish the stories in a simple html format, making sharing the results on the web fairly easy. The path connection between story blocks can also be used to map out websites or general plot progressions, making it a useful planning tool as well. It is available for Windows and Mac, and also comes in a python-based command line version called “twee.”
